HOW TO VOTE
How Do I Vote? / Who can Vote?
You must be a Colorado registered voter who lives in the district.
OR
You must be a Colorado registered voter who owns property (or personal property) in the district.
Landlords Questions?
Q I own a rental in the district. I live in Colorado but I live outside the district. Can I vote?
A Yes, you can vote if you are a Colorado registered voter. (see #2)
Q Can my tenants vote?
A Yes, tenants can vote if they are registered to vote!
Tenant Questions?
Q We live in the district, but we don’t own the home, we rent. Can we vote?
A Yes. If you are a Colorado registered voter you can vote! Homeownership is not required to exercise your right to vote!
Other Questions?
Q There are several registered voters in our household but we only have one water bill. Can each of us vote?
A Yes. Each registered voter should vote!
Q We live in the district and the water bill is in my spouses name. Can I vote?
A Yes. If you are a registered voter you can vote! It doesn’t matter whose name is on the water bill.
Q Will a ballot come in the mail?
A NO! – You will have to request a mail in ballot (see below) or vote in person.
It’s not user friendly but the district conducts its own election and they set the rules. It’s important to vote!
